You Will Need

• Crochet hook No. 2.5.

1x1 Rib Stitch with Knitting Needles

Knit alternately 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.

Knitting the Sweater in the Round from Top to Bottom

Cast on 150 stitches on the needles and knit with the rib stitch for 6 rows. In the next row, evenly increase 18 stitches (9 times x 2 stitches) as follows: knit 9 times x (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) from the yarn overs. Include these stitches in the overall rib pattern. Knit another 6 rows, then bind off the stitches loosely.

Continue with crochet. Along the edge of the rib, crochet 1 row of single crochet stitches = approximately 168 stitches. Then continue with the main pattern according to Scheme 1, where you should start with 42 arches. Then increase the number of chain stitches between elements to 2, and after 3 rows, increase to 3.
