RND 3: Ch 2, hdc in same hdc, hdc in next hdc, *2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc, rep from * around, join with sl st (33 hdc)
RND 4: Ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in each of next 2 hdc, *2 hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in each of next 2 hdc, rep from * around, join with sl st (44 hdc)
RND 5: Ch 2, hdc in same st, 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc, *2 hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc, rep from * around, join with sl st (55 hdc)

Drawstring Tie: Ch 135, fasten off. Weave chain through last round before brim increases. Slide 3 wooden pony beads on each end of chain and tie ends of chain securely in knots.
Using the Hat/Bag
To Use as a Hat: Adjust the chain and tie ends in a square knot, letting beaded ends dangle on the side as shown in the photo.
To Use as a Bag: If desired, insert fabric lining or small plastic tub inside the bag. Pull both ends of the drawstring and tie in a bow as shown in the photo, or use chain ends as a handle.
