Sunflower Square Crochet Pattern

Materials Needed
Two colors of worsted weight acrylic yarn (I used Red Heart), G hook.
This square measures approximately 7 inches.
Instructions
With color 1 - ch 4 join with a sl st to form a ring.
Round 1
ch 4, dc ch 1 7 times, sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 4, (8 dc ch 1 groups).
Round 2
ch 3, 2 dc in ch 1 sp of previous row, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch 1 space on previous row, ch 2, continue around (8 groups of ch 2, 3 dc), sl st into top of ch 3.
Round 3
ch 3, dc in each dc and 2 dc in each ch 2 sp, continue around, sl st into top of ch 3.
Round 4
ch 4, skip 1st st, sc in next st, ch 4 skipp a st, sc in next st around, sl st in 1st st of ch 4.
Round 5
sl st into first ch 4 sp, *ch 4, sc in next ch 4 sp* continue from *to* around, sl st into first st of ch 4. Fasten off.
Round 6
attach color 2 into any ch 4 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same st (first corner made), 3 dc ch 1 in next 4 spaces, *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc ch 1 in next sp, 3 dc, ch 1 in next 4 sp* continue this around, sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch 3.
Round 7
ch 1, sc in each st around including the ch 1 sp, doing 2 sc in each ch 2 corner sp on previous round. Fasten off.
