You'll Need

750 g of white yarn Baumwoll-Cable (100% cotton; 135m/50g);

Knitting needles size 3.

Stitch Techniques

Rib:

2 knit, 2 purls by turn.

Garter Stitch:

Knit all stitches on both right and wrong side rows. For circular rows, knit 1 circular row of knit stitches followed by 1 circular row of purls by turn.

Double Pearls Ornament:

Alternate 1 knit, 1 purl by turn, shifting stitches in each right side row.

Leaves Stripe:

Knit according to the scheme indicating only the right side rows; in wrong side rows, knit as per the pattern, incorporating yarn overs with purls. Repeat the pattern starting from the 1st through the 30th rows, then repeat from the 15th to the 30th rows.

Note:

The quantity of stitches varies. In the 1st row, the quantity of stitches = 24 sts. The following instructions for stitches quantity are based on the stripe width of 27 sts.

Stitch Control

Leaves Stripe: 1 pattern = 9 cm and 36 rows = 10 cm;

Garter Stitch: 28 stitches and 44 circular rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back/Front Instructions

Cast on 122 (136) stitches and knit them between selvedge stitches with a 1 cm rib. Then, knit between selvedge stitches from leaves with 0 (3) stitches of double pearls ornament from both sides = 137 (145) stitches with a stripe width of 27 stitches. In 33.5 cm from the rib, bind off 4 stitches from both sides in every 2nd row, working 4 x 2 and 6 x 1 stitches. Leave the stitches at the height of armholes.

Yoke Instructions

Cast on 95 (101) stitches and knit with a 1 cm rib for the sleeves. Position the front and right sleeve stitches on the needles, followed by the back and left sleeve stitches. Continue working on all stitches with circular rows, maintaining the center leaves stripes for both front and back, while knitting garter stitch in between them. At a yoke height of 4 cm, place a marker for armholes, and in each 2nd circular row, knit 2 stitches together (8 stitches in a circular row) before and after these stitches. Knit for an additional yoke height of 13 cm, then knit 1 cm rib on all stitches and bind off.
