How to Knit a Mohair Scarf: A Step-by-Step Guide


You’ll Need:
50g of 100% mohair yarn (100m/25g);
Knitting needles size 6.
Size:
Width – 23 cm, Length – 130 cm.
Used Patterns
The quantity of stitches is multiplied by 6 + 3 + 2 selvedge stitches. Work according to the scheme.
Row Instructions
1st row: 1 selvedge stitch, *1 yarn over, 1 double broaching: the middle stitch should be above – slip 2 stitches as knit or cross knit stitches, 1 knit stitch, draw it through the 2 slipped stitches, 1 yarn over, 3 knit stitches*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 selvedge stitch;
2nd and all the even rows: purl;
3rd row: 1 selvedge stitch, *3 knit stitches, 1 yarn over, 1 double broaching, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 selvedge stitch;
5th row: as 1st row;
7th row: as 3rd row.
Repeat 1st-8th rows once, then repeat 5th-8th rows.
Stitches Control:
11.5 stitches x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Cast on 26 stitches with knitting needles size 6 and work according to the scheme. After knitting 130 cm, bind off the stitches.
You can change the length of the scarf to your liking by adjusting the quantity of vertical pattern repeats.
