Knitting a Lilac Sweater with Net Pattern


You’ll Need:
150 (200)g of lilac Lana Grossa Secondo yarn (50% cotton, 30% polyamide, 20% silk; 125m/50g);
Straight knitting needles 3 and 4.

M (L).Used Patterns
Net pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 selvage sts. 1st row (RS): 1 selvage st, * knit2tog, 2 yarn overs, 1 broaching*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st;
2nd and all WS rows: purl, make 1st yarn over as purls, 2nd yarn over as knit st;
3rd row (RS): 1 selvage st, * 1 yarn over, 1 broaching, knit2tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st.
Repeat 1st-4th rows.
Stitches Control
16 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back and Front
Start with lower edge of back and work as one-piece detail. Cast on 66 (74) sts with knitting needles 3 and make 1st row (WS) with purls. Then, transfer sts to knitting needles 4 and work with net pattern. In 26 cm from the beginning of work, cast on 1 x 8 sts from both sides for sleeves = 82 (90) sts. In 41 (43) cm from the beginning of work, bind off the central 36 sts for back neck-hole and finish both sides separately. In 61 (63) cm from the beginning of work, cast on 36 sts for front neck-hole instead of bound off sts = 82 (90) sts. In 64 (68) cm from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 8 sts from both sides for sleeves = 66 (74) sts. In 90 (94) cm from the beginning of work, bind off the rest sts.
Assembly
Make side seams and sew up the sleeves.
