Crochet Dress and Bolero for Kids

You’ll Need:

50g of lavender 100% cotton yarn;

150g of metalized cotton yarn;

20g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Crochet hook 2.5;

3 buttons.

3-4 years.

Instructions

Dress

Make 130 chain sts with lavender yarn and work with single crochets for 3.5 cm. After that, change to metal yarn and crochet for 13 cm more.

Fasten the edges with single crochets with lavender yarn for 2 cm. Make 3 button-holes on the right front. Make straps. For this, fold the upper part of the dress in half, step back 4.5 cm from the edge and make 9 single crochets (width of strap) with lavender yarn to 9 cm above. After that, make the skirt, alternating 6 lavender and 6 metal rows. Finish with 2 rows of “shells” with lavender yarn.

Bolero

Make 150 chain sts and 3 rows of single crochets with lavender yarn. After that, work with the “shells” pattern for 10 rows with metal yarn. After that, leave 6 “shells” for sleeves and make only the front and back (4 “shells” for each half of the front and 8 “shells” for the back). After you divide your work, make extra “shells” in every double crochet. Divide “shells” with 1 double crochet in the next row. Crochet 13 rows down from the sleeves. Fasten the front, sleeves, neck-hole, and lower edge of bolero with 1 row of single crochets with white yarn and 1 row of fans pattern. Make 2 straps of chain sts with lavender yarn, and join them to the edge of the neck-hole.
