You’ll need:

3 (3, 4, 4, 5) (5, 5, 6, 6) balls of WeCrochet Lindy Chain Weight 1 (70% Linen, 30% Pima Cotton, 180 yds / 165 m, 1.75 oz / 50 g) in Mist color (Color A);

1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1, 1) ball of the same yarn, but in Urchin color (Color B);

Crochet hook 5 mm;

Stitch markers;

Scissors;

Tape Measure;

Yarn Needle.

 

Size: XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X)

 

Stitches control: 18 dc x 10 row = 10 x 10 cm

 

Instructions

Color A

Fdc 72. Ch 2, turn.

Row 1:  *2 dc in blo of next st, dc in blo of following 8 sts; rep from * to the end.  Ch 2, turn.  (80)

Row 2:  *2 dc in blo of next st, dc in blo of following 9 sts; rep from * to the end.  Ch 2, turn.  (88)

Row 3:  *2 dc in blo of next st, dc in blo of following 10 sts; rep from * to the end.  Ch 2, turn.  (96)

Row 4:  *2 dc in blo of next st, dc in blo of following 11 sts; rep from * to the end.  Ch 2, turn.  (104)

Row 5:  *2 dc in blo of next st, dc in blo of following 12 sts; rep from * to the end.  Ch 2, turn.  (112)

Continue in est patt to Rows 8 (10, 12, 15, 17) (19, 21, 24, 26).  Ch 2, turn. 136 (152, 168, 192, 208) (224, 240, 264, 280)

Row 9 (11, 13, 16, 18) (20, 22, 25, 27):  Dc in blo of first st and in each st across.  Ch 2, turn.  136 (152, 168, 192, 208) (224, 240, 264, 280)

 

XS - 4X Only

Rows 10 - 18 (12 - 20, 14 - 20, 17 - 22, 19 - 22) (21 - 23, 23 - 25, 26 - 27, --):  Rep Row 9 (11, 13, 16, 18) (20, 22, 25, --).  Continue to Armhole Separation.

 

5X - Continue to Armhole Separation.

Armhole Separation

Row 1:  Dc in blo of first 20 (22, 24, 26, 28) (30, 32, 34, 34) sts, *ch 12 (14, 14, 15, 16) (21, 32, 35, 37), sk 24 (28, 28, 32, 32) (34, 36, 38, 40) sts*, dc in blo of the following 48 (52, 64, 76, 88) (96, 104, 100, 112) sts; rep from * to * one more time, dc in blo of last 20 (22, 24, 26, 28) (30, 32, 34, 34) sts.  Ch 2, turn.  112 (124, 140, 158, 176) (198, 232, 238, 254)

Row 2:  Dc in blo of first st and in each st across.  Ch 2, turn.   

Rows 3 - 18 (3 - 18, 3 - 18, 3 - 17, 3 - 18) (3 - 17, 3 - 15, 3 - 14, 3 - 14):  Rep Row 2 or until cardigan approximately measures 14.5 (15, 15, 15.5, 16) (16, 16, 16.5, 16.5) inches.  

At the end of Row 18 (18, 18, 17, 18) (17, 15, 14, 14) join Color B with a sl st.  Ch 1, turn. 

Row 19 (19, 19, 18, 19) (18, 16, 15, 15):   Sc in first st and in each st to the end.  Ch 1, turn.

Rows 20 - 23 (20 - 23, 20 - 23, 19 - 22, 20 - 23) (19 - 22, 17 - 20, 16 - 19, 16 - 19):  Rep Row 19 (19, 19, 18, 19) (18, 16, 15, 15).  

Fasten off.  Continue to Sleeves.

 

Sleeves

XS, S, M, XL, 3X Only

Color A

Working on the wrong side, divide your chain stitches into 2 even groups.  Re - attach yarn to the center bar in between the 6th/7th (7th/8th, 7th/8th, 8th/9th, 16th/17th) stitch.  Ch 2 and turn according to pattern.

Row 1:  Dc in blo of first st and in each st around.  Ch 2, turn.  36 (42, 42, 48, 68)

Rows 2-10:  Rep Row 1.  At the end of Row 10, join Color B with a sl st.  Ch 1, turn.

Color B

Row 11:  Sc in first st and in each st around.  Ch 1, turn.

Row 12 - 15:  Rep Row 11.  

Fasten off.

L, 2X, 4X, 5X Only

Color A

Working on the wrong side, re-attach yarn to the 8th (11th, 18th, 19th) chain stitch.  Ch 2, turn according to pattern.

Row 1:  Dc in blo of first st and in each st around.  Ch 2, turn. 47 (55, 73, 77)

Rows 2-10:  Rep Row 1.  At the end of Row 10, join Color B with a sl st.  Ch 1, turn.

Color B

Row 11:  Sc in first st and in each st around.  Ch 1, turn.

Row 12 - 15:  Rep Row 11.  

Fasten off.
