​Simple Crochet Pullover

You’ll need:

4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7) balls of Lion Brand Jeans yarn in Topstitch color;

Crochet hook 6 mm;

Yarn needle;

Measuring tape;

Scissors.

Size: S (M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL).


Stitches control: 14 sts x 7 rows = 10 x 10 cm.


Instructions

Yoke

CH 68 [68, 68, 76, 76, 76]. Being careful not to twist your chains, join with a SL-ST to the first CH.

Round 1: CH 2, TURN. DC 8 [8, 8, 9, 9, 9] sts, V-ST, DC 16 [16, 16, 18, 18, 18] sts, V-ST, DC 16 [16, 16, 18, 18, 18] sts, V-ST, DC 16 [16, 16, 18, 18, 18] sts, V-ST, DC 8 [8, 8, 9, 9, 9] sts. Join with a SL-ST to the first DC of the round (72 [72, 72, 80, 80, 80] total DC sts, +4 increased).

Rounds 2-9 [10, 11, 12, 13, 14]: CH 2, TURN. *DC FLO to next CH 2 space. V-ST in CH 2 space.*. Rep from * to * around. DC FLO remaining sts. Join. (+8 sts increased each round, see below for st counts per R).

ST COUNTS PER R2-9 [10, 11, 12, 13, 14]:

R2: 80 [80, 80, 88, 88, 88].

R3: 88 [88, 88, 96, 96, 96].

R4: 96 [96, 96, 104, 104, 104].

R5: 104 [104, 104, 112, 112, 112].

R6: 112 [112, 112, 120, 120, 120].

R7: 120 [120, 120, 128, 128, 128].

R8: 128 [128, 128, 136, 136, 136].

R9: 136 [136, 136, 144, 144, 144].

R10: M-3XL: [144, 144, 152, 152, 152].

R11: L -3XL: [152, 160, 160, 160].

R12: XL-3XL: [168, 168, 168].

R13: 2XL-3XL: [176, 176].

R14: 3XL: [184].

Note: In this section, you ONLY increase for chest and back sections, no longer increasing around arm holes (+4 sts increased after each round).

Round 10 [11, 12, 13, 14, 15]: CH 2, TURN. *DC FLO to CH 2 space. DC in CH 2 space, CH 2. DC FLO to next CH 2 space. CH 2, DC in CH 2 space*. Rep from * to * once. DC FLO remaining sts. Join. (+4 DC sts).

Rounds 11 [12, 13, 14, 15, 16] -12 [14, 16, 18, 20, 22]: Rep Round 10. (+4 DC sts increased each round).

ST COUNT AT END OF R12 [14, 16, 18, 20, 22]: 148 [160, 172, 192, 204, 216].

Sizing note: Try on as you go! If you wish to have a more fitted body, add or subtract CONTINUED YOKE rounds by multiples of two until desired width.

Split for arm-holes.

Round 13 [15, 17, 19, 21, 23]: CH 2, TURN. *DC FLO to CH 2 space, put 1 DC in CH 2 space. Loosely CH 11 [13, 13, 13, 15, 15]. (SK 34 [36, 38, 42, 44, 46] DC sts between CH 2 spaces). DC in next CH 2 space*. Repeat from * to * once more (two arm holes created). DC FLO remaining sts. Join (84 [92, 100, 112, 120, 128] DC sts + 22 [26, 26, 26, 30, 30] CH).

Body

Round 14 [16, 18, 20, 22, 24]: CH 2, TURN. DC FLO around, putting 1 DC st in each of the 22 [26, 26, 26, 30, 30] chains made in the previous round. Join (106 [118, 126, 138, 150, 158] total DC sts).

Rounds 15 [17, 19, 21, 23, 25] – 39 [41, 43, 45, 47, 47]: CH 2, TURN. DC FLO in each st around. Join.

Note: Try on as you go! If you wish to have a longer or shorter sweater, add or subtract rounds by multiples of two until desired length is obtained.

Round 40 [42, 44, 46, 48, 48]: CH 1, DO NOT TURN. SC in both loops around. Join and cut yarn.

Sleeves

Note: odd numbers are the OUTSIDE of your sleeve, even are the INSIDE of your sleeve.

Round 1: Join yarn in center chain of underarm. CH 2, DC in join st and FLO 46 [50, 52, 56, 60, 62] additional sts around arm hole. Join with a sl-st to the first DC. (47 [51, 53, 57, 61, 63] total DC sts).

This equates to 11 [13, 13, 13, 15, 15] chains + 34 [36, 38, 42, 44, 46] skipped DC + 2 additional DC (1 each between skipped DC and chains). DO NOT place a st in the V-st gap during 1st round.

Bell Sleeve Option

Rounds 2-15: CH 2, TURN. DC FLO around. Join (47 [49, 53, 55, 59, 63] sts).

Round 16: CH 2, TURN. Put 2DC FLO in your first st, DC FLO remaining sts around (48 [50, 54, 56, 60, 64]).

Round 17: CH 2, TURN. DC FLO around. Join.

Round 18: CH 2, TURN. Put 2DC FLO in your first st, DC FLO remaining sts around (49 [51, 55, 57, 61, 65]).

Round 19: CH 2, TURN. DC FLO around. Join.

Round 21: CH 2, TURN. Put 2DC FLO in your first st, DC FLO remaining sts around (50 [52, 56, 58, 62, 66]).

Rounds 22-29 [29, 29, 31, 31, 31]: CH 2, TURN. DC FLO around. Join (50 [52, 56, 58, 62, 66]).

Note: If you wish to have a longer or shorter sleeve, rep R2 more/less here before continuing.

Round 30 [30, 30, 32, 32, 32]: CH 1, DO NOT TURN. SC through both loops around. Join and cut yarn.

Straight Sleeve Option

Rounds 2-29 [29, 29, 31, 31, 31]: CH 2, TURN. DC FLO around. Join (47 [49, 53, 55, 59, 63] sts).

Note: Try on as you go! If you wish to have a longer or shorter sleeve, repeat Round 2 more/less here before continuing.

Round 30 [30, 30, 32, 32, 32]: CH 1, DO NOT turn. SC through both loops around. Join and cut yarn.

Assembly

Using your tapestry needle, weave in all remaining loose ends.
