You'll need:

400 g of Mondial Prima yarn (100% merino wool; 95m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 4 and 5

Used Patterns

Double rib: cast on the half of needed sts quantity with contrast colour of yarn;

1st row: knit with working thread * 1 knit st, 1 yarn over*, repeat from * to *;

2nd row: * knit yarn over as knit st, slip 1 st as purl without knitting it, yarn is in front of work*, repeat from * to *;

3rd and last rows: * 1 knit st, slip 1 st as purl, yarn is in front of work*, repeat from * to *;

Unstring the contrast thread in ready detail.

1 x 1 rib: rotate 1 knit st and  1 purl.

Stockinette st: right side rows - knit sts, wrong side rows - purls.

Wrong side: right side rows - purls, wrong side rows - purls.

Stripes rotation: * 4 rows wrong side, 4 rows right side*, repeat from * to *.

Stitches control: right side, knitting needles 5: 16 sts and 21 rows = 10 x 10; 1 x 1 rib; 12 sts of placket = 4,5 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 83 sts on knitting needles 4 and make 4 rows with double rib and 24 rows with 1 x 1 rib. Change to knitting needles 5 and knit in the following way, making decreases in the middle of 1st row 1 x 1 st: 31 knit sts right side, 20 sts of stripes rotation, starting with 3rd row of the pattern, 31 knit sts right side. Starting with 3rd row increase 2 x 1 sts in each 2nd row from both sides, then for the sleeves cast on 7 x 2 and 1 x 3 sts from both sides; fisrt increased from each side 2 sts - knit sts, next 15 sts, which were cast again, knit with stripes rotation, the last 2 sts - knit sts. In 37 cm from the rib for shoulder cants bind off 4 x 8 sts from both sides in each 2nd row and then bind off the rest 56 sts.


Left Front

Cast on 49 sts on knitting needles 4 and make a rib, as for the back. Change to knitting needles 5 and knit first 37 sts with knit sts right side, the last 12 sts - 1 x 1 rib. Starting with the 3rd row increase 2 x 1 sts in each 2nd row from right, then cast on 7 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts in each 2nd row from right, first increased 2 sts are knit st right side, next 15 sts, which were cast again, knit with stripes rotation, the last 2 sts - knit sts. In 37 cm from the rib (78 row) for shoulder cants bind off from right 4 x 8 sts and at the same time start of shoulder cant for neck hole, bind off 3 x 12 sts in each 2nd row from left.


Right Front

In symmetry with the left front.


Colar

Cast on 97 sts on knitting needles 5 and knit 4 rows of double rib , 44 rows with stripes rotation, 4 rows with 1 x 1 rib, leave the sts open.


Assembly

Make shoulder seams, sleeve seams and side seams. Place the placket of right front upon the placket of left front and sew upper edges of both fronts. Sew open sts of the colar to the neck hole with kitchener stitch, starting from the middle of neck hole and back. Sew the sides of the colar: at 16 cm from the upper edge on right side, then on wrong side, fold back the half of colar to the right side.
