You’ll Need:

150g of mélange Soffstar mélange yarn (95% merino wool, 5% polyamide; 250m/50g);

Knitting needles: sizes 2.5 and 3;

Crochet hook: size 2.

Used Patterns

Crochet pattern: based on the provided scheme.

Stockinette stitch: in RS (right side) row – knit stitches, in WS (wrong side) row – purls.

1 x 1 rib.

Stitches Control:

27 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Front

Cast on 126 stitches (124 stitches + 2 selvage stitches). Make 5 cm of ribbing. Then, switch to stockinette stitch, decrease 10 stitches. Knit 38 cm straight to armholes. After that, bind off 1 x 4 stitches from both sides for armholes. Next, create 8 stitches of ribbing from both sides, binding off 1 stitch in every RS row. Make the armhole to a height of 19 cm. Transfer the remaining stitches to an auxiliary needle.

Back

Cast on 126 stitches (124 stitches + 2 selvage stitches). Make 5 cm of ribbing. Then, bind off the central 54 stitches and finish both edges of the back separately while working with stockinette stitch. Create the edging of 9 stitches towards the center with ribbing. Make armholes in the same way as for the front. After decreases for armholes, there should be 8 stitches of rib left on knitting needles. For the relief detail of the back, create 4 motifs following the scheme with a crochet hook and connect them during the work. Fasten the stripes of 4 motifs with single crochets. Make 13 such stripes and sew them together. Attach the motif detail to the center of the back.

Assembly

Make side seams. Transfer the previously left stitches of the neck hole to circular knitting needles size 2.5. Cast on 36 stitches from broaching along the upper relief detail and add 4 stitches (4 chain stitches) between the front and back. Create 3 cm of ribbing and bind off stitches as they face.
