1^st row: skip chain and make half double crochet stitch (HDC) in each of the next 19 chains, Total 19 HDC. Turn your work;

2^nd row: CH one and make HDC in the first stitch, HDC in the back stitches only, across;

3^rd row: CH one and make SC in the first stitch, CH 2, skip 2 sts, SC, *CH 2, skip 2 sts, SC *repeat entire row;

4^th row: CH 3 and make DC in the first stitch *DC 3 over SC *repeat entire row; DC 2 in the last stitch;

5^th row: as the 3^rd row;

6^th row: as the 4^th row;

7^th row: CH one and make HDC entire row;

8^th row: CH one and make HDC in the first stitch, HDC in the back stitches only, across.

Repeat 3^rd-8^th rows.
