How to Crochet a Stylish Beanie with Red and White Yarn

You’ll Need:

Odds of Bee Soft Secret Yarn (100% acrylic) in white color;

Odds of the same yarn, but in red color;

Crochet hook 4.25 mm;

Tapestry needle;

1.5 – 1.75 inch white pompom (or make it yourselves).

10 inches circumference x 6.25 inches high

Stitch Control:

14 hds x 12 rows = 4” x 4”.

Instructions

Brim

White: Ch 32, sl st into first ch to form a ring. Careful not to twist it.

Round 1: ch1, sc in each ch, sl st into first sc (32 scs)

Round 2 & 3: ch1, sc in same space as slst, sc in each sc, slst into first sc (32 scs). Cut White; make sure you leave a long enough tail for weaving.

Main Hat: Pull Up Red Yarn

Round 4: ch2, hd in same space as slst, hd in each sc, slst into first hd (32 hds).

Round 5: ch2, hd in same space as slst, hd in each hd, slst into first hd (32 hds).

Round 6: (decrease round) ch2, hd in same st as slst, hd in next 5 hd, *hd2tog, hd in next 6 hds* repeat from * to * 2 more times, hd2tog over last 2 sts, slst to first hds (28 hds).

Round 7: (decrease round) ch2, hd in same st as slst, hd in next 4 hd, *hd2tog, hd in next 5 hds* repeat from * to * 2 more times, hd2tog over last 2 sts, slst to first hd (24 hds).

Round 8: ch2, hd in same space as slst, hd in each hd, slst into first hd (24 hds).
