Step-by-Step Guide to Crocheting with Multiple Yarns for Unique Textures

Introduction

The quantity of stitches (sts) should be a multiple of 5 plus 1 for this crochet pattern.

Row Instructions

1st Row

Using Yarn A, make a single crochet (sc) in the 2nd chain from the hook and continue to sc in each chain to the end. Turn your work.

2nd to 4th Rows

Ch 1, sc in the first sc and in each sc to the end.

Turn your work, but at the end of the 4th row, draw Yarn B through the last 2 loops of the last sc, then turn.

5th Row

Ch 1, sc in the first sc and in each of the next 3 sc. *Working in the row below, draw up a loop in the sc below the sc just worked and in each of the next 2 sc. Insert your hook in the next sc of the 4th row and draw the yarn through the sc and the 3 loops. Yarn over (yo) and pull through the remaining 2 loops to complete the cluster made. Next, sc in each of the next 4 sc. Repeat from * to the end, then turn your work.

6th Row

Ch 1, sc in the first sc and in each stitch to the end, drawing Yarn A through 2 loops of the last sc, then turn.

Repeating Rows

Continue to repeat the instructions from the 3rd to the 6th rows to create your crocheted piece.
