Blue Crop Top
200 (250)g of blue-white Lana Grossa Denim Yarn (88% mercerized cotton, 12% polyamide; 125m/50g);
Straight knitting needles 6;
Crochet hook 3,5.
Size: S (M).
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;
Placket with arches: make 3 rounds due to the scheme. Numbers from the right side state for crossings between rounds. Start every round with sts before the 1st arrow, pattern repeat between arrows, finish with sts after the 2nd arrow. 4 pattern repeats are shown on the scheme. Replace the 1st single crochet of every row to 2 chain sts and finish every row with 1 slip st in the 2nd chain st increase. Make 1st-3rd rounds x once.
Stitches control: 21 sts x 28,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Cast on 86 (94) sts and work with stockinette stitch. In 18 (20) cm = 52 (58) rows from the beginning of work, bind off 5 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 (4) x 1 st in every 2nd row = 66 (70) sts. Then, crochet straight. At 15 (16) cm = 44 (46) rows height, bind off the central 30 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. Bind off 1 x 5 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row from inwards for smooth rounding. At 3 cm = 8 rows height of neck-hole, bind off 10 (12) sts of shoulder from each side.
Make in the same way, as back, but with cut and deeper neck-hole. For cut, divide your work in half at 3 (4) cm = 10 (12) rows height of arm-holes and finish both sides separately. At 9 cm = 26 rows height of cut, bind off 12 sts from the side of neck-hole, then, bind off 2 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row for smooth rounding. Bind off the rest 10 (12) sts of shoulder at the same height, as back.
Make all the seams. Fasten the edges of arm-holes and neck-hole with 1 row of “shrimp stitch” with crochet hook 3,5.
Fasten the set-up row of back and front with fringe of arches with crochet hook 3,5, for this, join working yarn at side seam with slip st and pay attention in the 1st row, that 36 (40) single crochets + 1 single crochet for transfer should be for each quarter of length = totally, 145 (161) single crochets.
Totally, you should get 18 (20) arches. Finish your work after the 3rd row.
