How to Knit a Stylish Scarf with Pockets Using Patons® Classic Wool

You’ll Need:

3 balls of Patons® Classic Wool (100 g / 3.5 oz) in color #00224 (Grey Mix);

Knitting needles 4.5 mm;

Cable needle;

Stitch holders.

Size:

18 x 153 cm.

Stitches Control:

20 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Special Stitches:

KB1 = Knit into back loop of next stitch.

PB1 = Purl into back loop of next stitch.

Instructions:

Scarf

Cast on 48 sts.

1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th Rows: (RS). K1. KB1. P2. *KB1. (P2. K1. P1. K1) twice. P2. Rep from * twice more. KB1. P2. KB1. K1.

2nd and Alternate Rows: K1. PB1. K2. *PB1. (K2. P1. K1. P1) twice. K2. Rep from * twice more. PB1. K2. PB1. K1.

13th Row: K1. KB1. P2. *KB1. P2. Slip next 3 sts onto a CN and leave at front of work. K1. P1. K1. P2, then (K1. P1. K1) from CN. P2. Rep from * twice more. KB1. P2. KB1. K1.

14th Row: As 2nd row.

These 14 rows form the pattern.

Continue even in pattern until work from beginning measures 153 cm, ending with a WS row.

Cast off.

Pockets

Make 2.

Work from ** to ** as given for scarf.

Continue even in pattern until work from beginning measures 15 cm, ending with a WS row.

Cast off.

Assembly

Sew pockets to each end of scarf.
