You’ll need:

Manos del Uruguay CLARA (100% superwash merino, approx. 100g/385 yds), 1 sk each colors A and B (Shown in C22 Petroleo(A) and C10 Azafran(B);

Knitting needles 4.5mm.

Stitches control: 20 sts and 30 rows = 4” over Stockinette Stitch.

Size: 70” x 11”.

Instructions

Using color A, cast on 72 sts. Knit 1 row.

Border

Row 1 (RS): Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, *k2tog, k4, m1L, k1, m1R, k12, ssk; rep from * twice more, k2tog, k4, m1L, k1, k1tbl;

Row 2: Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, k to last st, k1tbl.

Work rows 1 and 2 3 times more.

Body

Row 1 (RS): Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, *k2tog, k4, m1L, k1, m1R, k12, ssk; rep from * twice more, k2tog, k4, m1L, k1, k1tbl;

Row 2: Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, k7, p to last 8 sts, k7, k1tbl.

Rep rows 1 and 2 of Body until scarf measures 35”, working two-row stripes of color B at random intervals.

At 35”, switch colors so that B is now the main color, and work occasional stripes of A.

Work until piece measures 69”, ending having just worked a WS row. Border Work rows 1 and 2 of Border four times, then bind off knitwise.

Finishing

Weave in ends. Steam-block to shape.
