Bobble Stitches Tip:

I do FLO in R11 when crocheting the feet. In R12, when I get to the feet, I work my single crochets/decreases into the back loops from R11. You can either use FLO or both loops – choose whichever option works best for you.

Starting with Dark Shade:

Use white for the highlighted stitches.

  1. R1. 7 sc in a MR (7)
  2. R2. 7 inc (14)
  3. R3. (sc, inc)x7 (21)
  4. R4. 7sc, 2sc, 2sc, 2sc, 8sc (21)
  5. R5. 6sc, 8sc, 7sc (21)
  6. R6. 6sc, 9sc, 6sc (21)

Change to light shade.

  1. R7. 5sc, FLO 3 dc in one stitch, 9sc, FLO 3 dc in one stitch, 5 sc (21)
  2. R8. 5sc, BLO sc, 9sc, BLO sc, 5 sc (21)
  3. R9-10. 21 sc (21) (2 rounds)

Place safety eyes between R5 and R6, about 4 stitches apart. (2 visible stitches apart. We will add a beak there later).

  1. R11. 8sc, bo, 4sc, bo, 7 sc (21)
  2. Depending on your tension, you may need to adjust where your feet are placed.
  3. R12. (sc, dec)x7 (14)

Start stuffing.

  1. R13. 7 dec (7)

Use orange for the highlighted stitches. FO and close up the hole. Weave in the yarn tail. Sew the beak over 2 stitches between the eyes.

And you are all done!
