F 3.75 mm hook

Special Stitches:

DcCL- Yarn over, insert your hook into the indicated st or ch space. Yarn over, pull through. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops. Yarn over, insert your hook into the same st or space again. Yarn over, pull through. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops. Yarn over pull through 3 loops.

Final measurements: 3.25 inches in diameter

Notes:

Pattern is worked in 2 pieces then joined together.
Ch 2 does not count as a dc.
Rounds beginning with a dcCL do not require a ch.
To decrease the amount of tails to weave in carry your colors up.

Pattern Instructions:

Front piece:

Round 1: With CA, 8 sc in the MC. Join to the first st. (8 sc)
Round 2: Lift the loop on your hook to about the height of a normal dc. (DcCL, ch 2) in each st around. Join to the 1st st. (8 dcCL, 8 ch 2 spaces)
Round 3: With CB, ch 1. 2 sc in the same st as the ch 1. 2 sc in the next ch 2 space. *2 sc in the next st. 2 sc in the next ch 2 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join to the 1st st. (32 sc)

Round 4: With CA, ch 1. Sc in the same st as the ch 1. Sc in the next st. Ch 1. Working over the next 2 sc, (dc, tr, dc) into the space between the 2 dcCL below. Ch 1. *Sc in the next 2 st. Ch 1. Working over the next 2 sc, (dc, tr, dc) into the space between the 2 dcCL below. Ch 1.* Repeat from * to * around. Join to the 1st st. (16 sc, 16 dc, 8 tr)

Round 5: With CB, ch 1. Hdc in the same st as the ch 1. Hdc in the next st. Hdc in the next ch 1 space. Sc in the next 3 st. *Hdc in the next ch 1 space. Hdc in the next 2 st. Hdc in the next ch 1 space. Sc in the next 3 st.* Repeat from * to * around. Hdc in the last ch 1 space. Join to the 1st st. (24 sc, 32 hdc) Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

Back Piece:

Round 1: In the color of your choice, 11 sc in the MC. Join to the 1st st. (11 sc)
Round 2: Ch 2. 2 dc in the same st as the ch 2 and in each st around. Join to the 1st st. (22 dc)
Round 3: Ch 1. 2 sc in the same st as the ch 1. Sc in the next st. *2 sc in the next st. Sc in the next st.* Repeat from * to * around. Join to the 1st st. (33 sc)

Round 4: Ch 2. 2 dc in the same st as the ch 2. Dc in the next 2 st. *2 dc in the next st. Dc in the next 2 st.* Repeat from * to * around. Join to the 1st st. (44 dc)
Round 5: Ch 1. 2 sc in the same st as the ch 1. Sc in the next 3 st. *2 sc in the next st. Sc in the next 3 st.* Repeat from * to * around until 4 st remain. 2 sc in the next st. Sc in the next 2 st. 2 sc in the next st. Join to the 1st st. (56) Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

Finishing

Place your 2 pieces together with the wrong sides facing each other. With a contrast color and working through both pieces, slip st around. Be sure to work with the front piece facing you so the top of the sl st is on the front piece.
