Crochet Anti-Scratch Gloves for Babies

Introduction

Crochet anti-scratch gloves for babies are such a cute and practical way to keep those little hands protected while keeping them looking adorable! These gloves are not only gentle on delicate skin but also stylish with their handmade crochet design. They provide a soft barrier to prevent the baby from scratching themselves while allowing them the freedom to move and explore comfortably.

Materials

• cream, white, dark yellow, blue, brown and black yarn (I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches)
• white elastic
• hook 3 mm

Glove - Make 2

Using cream yarn:

RND 1: 6 sc in MR (6)

RND 2: inc around (12)

RND 3: *sc 3, inc* 3 X2 (18)

RND 4: sc 4, inc 4, sc 5, inc 4, sc (26)

RND 5: sc around (26)

RND 6: sc 8, inc 2, sc 11, inc 2, sc 3 (30)

RND 7 - RND 20: sc around (30)

It's time for elastic now - thread it between row 19 and 20.

Tie ends and cut off unwanted parts.

RND 21: sc around (30)

RND 22: sc 29, ss (30) FO

Ears - Make 4 (2 for each glove)

Using cream yarn:

RND 1: 8 sc in MR (8)

RND 2: sc 8 (8)

RND 3: dec, sc, dec, sc, dec (5)

RND 4: sc around (5)

RND 5: dec, dec, ss (3) FO

Take black thread and make little black rectangles on each ear.

Sew ears in place right before the 19th row.

Eyes (White Part) - Make 4 (Two for each glove)

Using white yarn:

RND 1: 6 sc in MR (6)

RND 2: inc 4 (8) FO

Eyes (Color Part) - Make 4 (Two brown and two blue)

Using brown or blue yarn:

RND 1: 5 sc in MR (5)

RND 2: sc 3, ss (4) FO

Snorkmaiden's Hair - Make 1

Using yellow yarn:

RND 1: 9 ch

1st Hair: 5 ch, TURN, ss 2, sc 2, ss in base chain from RND 1,

2nd Hair: 7 ch, TURN, ss 2, sc 4, ss in base chain from RND 1,

3rd to 6th Hair: 7 ch, TURN, ss 2, sc 4, ss in base chain from RND 1,

7th Hair: 5 ch, TURN, ss 2, sc 2, ss in base chain from RND 1, FO

Sew the hair between the ears.

Now sew the eyes, with thick black thread make her beautiful eyelashes and use brown for the pupils, as shown in the photo for reference.

Now sew the Moomin eyes, also make brows and eyelashes with black thread.
