  • Worsted weight yarn: Brown, Dark Brown, Green, and Yellow colors
  • F/5 3.75mm crochet hook
  • Poly-Fil or any stuffing of your choice

Abbreviation Key

  • sc = single crochet

Notes

Sunflower Base Part

Use Green Colour Yarn

Round 1: Magic circle for 6 sts base

Round 2: inc x 6 = 12 sts

Round 3: (1 inc, 1 sc) x 6 = 18 sts

Round 4: (1 inc, 2 sc) x 6 = 24 sts

Round 5: (1 inc, 3 sc) x 6 = 30 sts

Round 6: sc 30 sts = 30 sts

*fasten off and hide the tail

Sunflower Top Part

Use Dark Brown Colour Yarn

Round 1: Magic circle for 6 sts base

Round 2: inc x 6 = 12 sts

Round 3: (1 inc, 1 sc) x 6 = 18 sts

Round 4: (1 inc, 2 sc) x 6 = 24 sts

Round 5: (1 inc, 3 sc) x 6 = 30 sts

Round 6: sc 30 sts = 30 sts

*fasten off and hide the tail

Sunflower Petals

Use Yellow Colour Yarn

Start a sc together with base & top part, then continue with...

1st st: sl st (not the first time) in a st, 3 ch

2nd st: (1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dtr) in a st, 3 ch, 1 sl st in 1st chain

3rd st: (1 dtr, 1 tr, 1 dc) in a st, 3 ch

4th st: 1 sl st in a st.

Repeat all 4 steps, 9 times.

Soil

Use Brown Colour Yarn

Round 1: Magic circle 6 stitches for base

Round 2: inc x 6 = 12 sts

Round 3: (1 inc, 1 sc) x 6 = 18 sts

Round 4: (1 inc, 2 sc) x 6 = 24 sts

Round 5: (1 inc, 3 sc) x 6 = 30 sts

Round 6: (1 inc, 4 sc) x 6 = 36 sts

Round 7~12: sc 36 sts = 36 sts

Round 13: (1 dec, 4 sc) x 6 = 30 sts

Round 14: (1 dec, 3 sc) x 6 = 24 sts

Round 15: (1 dec, 2 sc) x 6 = 18 sts

Round 16: (1 dec, 1 sc) x 6 = 12 sts

Round 17: dec x 6 = 6 sts

*sl st and stuff the body with Poly-Fil. Position and sew Sunflower onto the Soil's body.
