Size 10 crochet cotton in white. Southmaid was used in the example.

  • Size 7 steel crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
  • 1 5/8" white bone ring or plastic ring

Instructions

Head

RND 1: Ch2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with slst to first sc.

RND 2: Ch1, 2 sc in same st as slst. 2 sc in each sc around. Join with slst to first sc.

RND 3-8: Ch1, sc in same st as slst. Sc in each sc around. Join with slst to first sc.

RND 9: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Pull up a loop in each of the next 2 sts. Yo, pull through all 3 lps on hook. Dec made. *Sc in next st. Dec 1. Rep from * around. Join with slst to first sc. (10 sc.)

RND 10: Ch1. Sc in same st as slst. Sc in each st around. Join with slst to first sc.

Shoulders

RND 11: Ch3, dc in same st as slst. Ch2. *2 dc in next st. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join with slst to top of ch3.

RND 12: Ch3. Dc in next dc. (Ch3. Dc in next ch2 sp. Ch3.) *Dc in each of the next 2 dc. rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join with slst to top of ch3.

Waist

RND 13: Ch3. Dc in next dc. (Ch1. Dc in next ch3 sp. Ch1. Dc in next dc. Ch1. Dc in next ch3 sp. Ch1. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Ch1.) Sk 8 ch3 spaces. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. Rep bet () once. Join with slst to top of ch3.

RND 18-20: Rep RND 17.

RND 21: Slst into the next dc and in next ch1 sp. Sc in same sp. (3 dc, ch5, 3 dc in next ch2 sp.) *Sc in next ch1 sp. Rep bet () once. Rep from * around. Join with slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave ends into work.

Wings

RND 1: Place angel in front of you. Join thread to the same st as last dc in right side on RND 12. Ch4. (Dc in next ch2 sp, ch1. Dc in next dc. Ch1. Dc in next ch1 sp. Ch1. Next Wing

Turn angel over and repeat as for first wing on other side. Fasten off and weave all ends into back of work. Starch or stiffen if desired.

Sew bone ring to top of head with the starting end thread.
