- 6 - 5mm black pompons

Instructions
Creating the Snowman Body
With white, for the large circle:
RND 1: ch 4, join with sl st in first ch, 15 sc in center of ring. join.
RND 2: ch 1, sc in each sc around, join.
RND 3: ch 1, sc in same ch1 sp. 2sc in each sc around, join. (30 sc)
RND 4 to 6: ch 1, sc in each sc around, join. Fasten off. (leaving length of thread for sewing)
With white, for the medium circle:
RND 1: ch 4, join with sl st in first ch. 12 sc in center of ring. join.
RND 2: ch 1, sc in each sc around, join.
RND 3: ch 1, sc in same ch1 sp, 2sc in each sc around. join. (24 sc)
RND 4 & 5: ch 1, sc in each sc around. join. Fasten off. (leaving length of thread for sewing)
With white, for the small circle:
RND 1: ch 4, join with sl st in first ch, 10 sc in center of ring. join.
RND 2: ch 1, sc in each sc around. join.
RND 3: ch 1, sc in same ch1 sp, 2sc in each sc around. join. (20 sc)
RND 4: ch 1, sc in each sc around. join. Fasten off.
Hat Construction
Hat Brim:
With black, ch 10, turn.
RND 1: ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off. (leaving length of thread for sewing)
Top of Hat:
RND 1: Join with sl st to second sc, sc in next 5 sc, turn.
RND 2 & 3: ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off.
Finishing Touches
Step 1: Sew medium circle to large circle, sew small circle to medium circle. Sew hat to top of small circle.
Step 2: Attach white with sl st to center bottom of large circle, ch 80, attach end of ch to same st as beginning sl st.
Make tassel in center loop of ch.
Give the bookmark a light spray with stiffener.
Step 3: Referring to the photo for placement, glue eyes to the right side of the head. With orange thread, make a love knot in the center of the head for the nose. With black thread, make 4 love knots for the mouth.
Step 4: Glue 6 pompons down the front center of the body for buttons. (or make 6 French knots down the center.)
