- Yarn needle
- Poly-fil stuffing
- 8mm safety eyes

Make two legs for the snowman:
- 6sc in a magic circle – 6
- inc around – 12

- sc around in the back loops only – 24
- sc around – 24 (rows 6-8)
- dec 6, sc 12 – 18
- dec 3, sc 12 – 15
- sc around – 15 (rows 11-16)
Fasten off, weave in ends, stuff feet and legs.
Body
Insert the hook into the first leg from the inside to out.
Insert the hook into the second leg from the outside to in.
Sc the two stitches together, joining the legs together.
Sc two more – total of 3 sc join.
- Continue to single crochet around the legs now, 12 scs on each leg for a total of 24.
- sc around – 24 (rows 2-3)
- (sc 5, inc) 4x – 28
- sc around – 28 (rows 5-10)
- (sc 5, dec) 4x – 24
- sc around – 24
- (sc 4, dec) 4x – 20
- sc around – 20
- Start stuffing now
- (sc 3, dec) 4x – 16
- (sc 2, dec) 4x – 12
- (sc, dec) 4x – 8
- dec 4
Fasten off, sew shut and weave in ends.
Head
- 6sc in magic circle – 6
- inc around – 12
- (sc, inc) 6x – 18
- (sc 2, inc) 6x – 24
- (sc 3, inc) 6x – 30
- (sc 14, inc) 2x – 32
- sc around – 32 (rows 7-12)
- (sc 14, dec) 2x – 30
- (sc 3, dec) 6x – 24
- Insert and attach eyes now; I put mine between rows #7 & #8, 4 sts apart.
- (sc 2, dec) 6x – 18
- (sc, dec) 6x – 12
- dec 6
Stuff firmly, fasten off, and leave a tail for sewing.
Arms
Make two arms:
- 6sc in mc – 6
- inc around – 12
- sc around – 12
- sc 11, in the next st: yarn over hk, insert into st. Yarn over hk, pull through st; you will have 3 loops on hk now. Yarn over hk, insert into st, yarn over hk, pull through st; you will have 5 loops on your hk now.
- *Yarn over and pull through two of the loops*
Repeat until there is one loop on hk. - dec 6 – 6
- (sc 2, inc) 2x – 8
- Stuff hand firmly.
- sc around 9 times (rows 7-15). Stuff arm about halfway.
Fasten off, sew top shut, and leave a tail for sewing.
Scarf
The scarf can be any length you’d like. Just chain as long as you need for your required length. Here is mine:
- ch 70
- Starting in the second ch from the hk, sc across – 69
- ch 1, turn, switch to second color, slip stitch across – 69
Fasten off and attach fringe if desired.
Hat
Starting in the second color:
- 5sc in magic circle – 5
- inc around – 10
- (sc, inc) 5x – 15
- (sc 2, inc) 5x – 20
- (sc 3, inc) 5x – 25
- (sc 4, inc) 5x – 30
- (sc 5, inc) 5x – 35
- sc around – 35 (rows 8-11)
- In front loops only: (sc 6, inc) 5x – 40
- (sc 6, dec) 5x – 35
Fasten off, weave in all ends, and attach a Pom Pom.
