Instructions

Round 1: Ch 4, sl st together to make a ring.

Round 2: Do 12 dc in the ring, sl st together and ch 3. Do 4 dc in the same space as ch 3. Remove hook and put it in the top st of ch 3. Put the hook back into the last dc, loop over, and pull the loop through (making a popcorn). *Ch 3, skip a st and do 5 dc in the next stitch. Remove hook and repeat the previous step (making another popcorn). Repeat from * all the way around (6 popcorns total), then sl st together.

Round 3: Attach cotton yarn, ch 3 with cotton yarn. *In the chain 3 space, do 5 dc. Repeat from * around (6 groups of 5 dc and the chain 3 starting is what you will have). Sl st together at the top of the ch 3 st, ch 3.

Ad Display

Round 4: *2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts. Repeat from * around, sl st together and ch 3.

Round 5: *2 dc in next st, then dc in next 3 sts. Repeat from * around, sl st together and ch 3.

Round 6: *2 dc in next st, then dc in next 4 sts. Repeat from * around, sl st together.

Edging

*Ch 3 and sc in the next st. Repeat from * around to make a ruffled edging. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Make sure you weave in the nylon yarn really well; otherwise, it can come apart after many washes.
