Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: White – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m); Purple – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m); Small amounts Yellow and Black.

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

DISHCLOTH

Row 1: (Right Side) Starting in center with Yellow, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 1, 3 sc in ring. (3 sc) DO NOT JOIN. Finish off and weave in ends.

Row 2: With right side facing, join Black with sl st in ring, (3 sc, sl st) in next 3 sc, sl st in ring. (9 sc – 3 petals) Finish off and weave in ends.

Row 3: With right side facing, join Purple with sl st in ring, ch 3, (tr in ring, ch 1) 3 times, dc in ring, ch 2, sl st in ring, ch 2, dc in ring, (ch 1, tr in ring) 3 times, ch 3, sl st in ring, working across Row 2, skip first sl st, [sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, sl st in sl st between petals] twice, sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, skip last sl st, sl st in ring. DO NOT JOIN.

Row 4: Sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, [sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 3] 3 times, sc in next ch-2 sp, sl st in next sl st, sc in next ch-2 sp (of next petal), ch 3, [sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 3] 3 times, sc in next ch-3 sp, sl st in ring. Leave remaining sts unworked. (8 ch-3 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
