  • I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
  • Cotton dishcloth yarn (I used Scrubby Smoothie by Red Heart in the “Blueberry” and “Lemony”
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Ruler or tape measure

Sizing:

  • 8 inches wide
  • 8 inches tall

  • Back Post Double Crochet (bpdc)

Instructions:


Color A: Blueberry

Color B: Lemony


Note: There is no special stitch count so feel free to make your starting chain any size you like.

Ch 30 (Color A)

Row 1 (Color A): In the 4th ch from the hook, work a dc. Work a dc in each ch across.

Row 2 (Color B): Ch 3 and turn, then work a bpdc in each stitch. Work a dc into the topmost chain of the turning chain.

Row 3 (Color A): Ch 3 and turn, then work a dc in each stitch. Work a dc into the topmost chain of the turning chain.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until height and width are approximately the same, ending on row 3.

Weave in any ends and you’re finished!
