- Size 10 Cotton Thread (less than 1/2 ounce of green)
- Steel Hook Size 1
- Yarn Needle
Stitches: ch, dc, sl st, sc.

Flower Instructions
RND 1: With White, (Ch6, join with a sl st in the first ch to form a ring.) 6 times. Slip stitch in the base of the first ring to join. [6-ch6 lps]
RND 2: Do not turn. Sc in center of first ring. (6dc, sc) in same ring. (Sc, 6dc, sc) in each remaining ring. Join with a sl st in the first sc. Fasten off.
RND 3: Join Green with a sc in sp at the base of any ring. Sc in same sp. 2sc in sp at the base of each remaining ring. Join with a sl st in the first sc. Fasten off.
Bookmark Instructions
RND 1: With Green, ch8, sc in the second ch from the hook. Sc in each remaining ch. (RS)
RND 2: Ch1, turn. Sc in each st. (7sc)
Rep RND 2 until piece measures 6" long.
Fasten off.
Border Instructions
With White, holding RS facing, join with a sc in the center st on the last row. Sc in each st and row end around, placing 3sc in each corner. Join with a sl st, leaving about a ten-inch yarn tail.
Fasten off.
Finishing Touches
Using a yarn needle and the yarn tail for sewing, position the flower along the top edge of the bookmark (as shown in the photo) and sew it onto the bookmark.
