Row 4: ch 1 and turn, 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 4 sts, 2 hdc in last st; 8 sts

Row 5: ch 1 and turn, 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 6 sts, 2 hdc in last st; 10 sts

Row 6: ch 1 and turn, 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 8 sts, 2 hdc in last st; 12 sts

Row 7: ch 1 and turn, 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 10 sts, 2 hdc in last st; 14 sts

Cut yarn, and start on next hump. We are repeating rows 15-21 of the first hump, but in a slightly different way to remain consistent and uniform across.

Row 15: to the left of the first hump, sk the first 2 sts and attach yarn into the 3rd st, hdc in that same st, hdc in next 8 sts, sk next st, hdc in last st; 10 sts

Row 16: ch 1 and turn, hdc in next 8 sts, sk next st, hdc in last st; 9 sts

Row 17: ch 1 and turn, hdc in next 7 sts, sk next st, hdc in last st; 8 sts

Row 18: ch 1 and turn, hdc in next 6 sts, sk next st, hdc in last st; 7 sts

Row 19: ch 1 and turn, hdc in next 5 sts, sk next st, hdc in last st; 6 sts

Edging Instructions

Sc around the outside edge of the heart. 26 sc down the side, (sc, ch 1, sc) in the bottom point, 26 sc evenly back up the other side, sc in the first st at the top of the hump, hdc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st at the top of the hump, sc 8 down the other side of the hump, dec in the 2 sts between the humps, sc 8 up the side of the next hump, 2 sc in the first st at the top of hump, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in last st, sl st in the first st; 81 sts

Shell stitch pattern: 3 hdc in next st, NOT the same st as the sl st, sk next st, sl st in next st, (3 hdc in next st, sk next st, sl st in next st) repeat around, ending with sl st into first st, fasten off and weave in your ends.
