I am a retired/disabled Army military policewoman. I was in for 6 yrs, 5 were overseas, Korea and Germany. I have various interests, from crochet to knitting, to art drawing, sketching, sewing quilts, Celtic music and singing. My grown children live in Minnesota and my daughter Shirley has 2 boys and I girl. All have left the house but her girl, who turned 18 last week. She is studying to be a pediatric doctor. She will be going to a medical college starting the long process of becoming a doctor. She like my daughter and I, are tenacious once we figure out what we want and how to get it as far as life goes. My son Donald is a tattoo artist, painter, sketcher and musician of various instruments, as well as the family comedian. My daughter is working for a landscaping business, crocheting for her first granddaughter (my first great grandchild) and family. She also is an accomplished interior decorator. She can match colors so well, it takes my breathe away, as I'd never considered mixing those colors together. She is the mother of 3 and the two boys are grown and in their late twenties, working for various organization. I just moved to Texas last year from Utah where I lived for twenty years. My late husband passed away 5 yrs ago and I'm remarried to a wonderfully feisty old man of 72, lol...j/k. (wink) I wrote my life story called "Love Lifted Me" when I was 32 yrs old but haven't tried to find a publisher yet. It's a biology of abuse, love and God's mercy holding my hand through it all, especially when my two oldest sons died as children. I went catatonic, and God rescued me then, as well as other instances, where I surely should have died or my daughter should have died as well. Now in my sixties, I could write an addition to the original book, for the last thirty years of my life to this point today.
