Hello Susan. I do prefer printed instructions. You can always go back for reference, keep it to work thru other projects. Place it next to you to read instructions, share with friends/family etc! It doesn't go dark like the screen on smartphones, battery doesn't ever go low making you run for your charger at crucial step of crocheting 😬 overall, I still love printed matter over digital.
