Hi, I am a 55 year old "empty nester" mother of 4, and sometimes it really sucks, but since this is a Craftor site I will spare you all the details. I first learned to knit when I was 11, my grandmother was an amazing knitter and VERY patient teacher. Everytime I cast on a new project and bind off an old one, I am grateful for her, I am not the greatest knitter around but I do absolutely love it. While I was pregnant with each of my children I knit each of them a "bringing baby home sweaters" and now they are among my most treasured possessions, it is my plan to pass them down when they have children of their own. I taught myself to crochet when I was in my twenties, and I like to crochet, it is fast and easy, but I must admit that knitting has my heart!
