I recently met a man who knits vintage style shawls for volunteers at a pioneer museum to wear with their costumes. We met volunteering at a knitting group in a retirement home where his mother and my aunt live. I think it is great! If more men were knitters, their stress levels would go down for sure.

I make cross stitch baby blankets on Tunisian crochet backgrounds so I keep even little bits of worsted or Dk yarns to use to cross stitch the pictures. I also do small bracelets or headbands with leftover yarns.

I love both knitting and crochet! For garments I tend to prefer knitting but for novelty projects etc. crochet is perfect. When it comes to afghans and blankets I can go either way depending on what interests me at the time.

I typically knit or crochet for gifts for family and friends. Sometimes I make things for our parish bazaar or other fundraisers that my husband and I are involved with. I like to make tops, cardigans etc. for myself when I have time.

I am quite happy with sticking to knitting and crochet patterns, skill development and other topics.
