How to Crochet a Stylish Beret

You'll Need:
- Yarn
- Hook
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
- BP - Back post
- ps - Puff stitch
- st - Stitches
- BPSC - Back post single crochet
Crochet Instructions:
Crochet a beret with hook B and make 11 BP, but start crocheting with 3 stitches for the instep, so consider that you make 12 BP.
Then crochet 3 stitches. In the next BP of the bottom row, make 1 ps, 2 st, and 1 more ps. When crocheting, pull the thread 3 times.
In the next BP, make 1 BP. You should make the whole row in such a way, rotating 2 ps and 1 BP. Always crochet 2 BP between ps. In the end, crochet 1 BP, as usual.
Make the same for the next row under 2 stitches: 1 ps, 2 ch(s), and 1 ps. In separate BP, crochet 3 BP.
Crochet the same in the next row between ps as you did previously, and in 3 BP, crochet an increase, but only in 1 and 3 BP. Continue crocheting to the needed diameter of the bottom, putting ps between ps, and crochet increases in BP, but only in the first and last BP of each group.
In the next rows, you don't need to increase anymore, so crochet according to the ornament. Between ps - put ps, and in BP, do not make any increases. Make the needed width of the beret and crochet 2 rows, but now with decreases to the first and last BP of each group. Then crochet 2 extra rows with simple BP.
You should determine the size of the visor before proceeding. Make the needed number of stitches in the center. Crochet it from one marker to another one with BPSC. Then turn. Start with decreasing. Then crochet with increasing after every 5 stitches. Finish the row with the decreasing. Make 1 turning chain at the beginning of each row, obligatory.
Crochet 1 BPSC in the next row. Then start and finish with the decreasing again, but now after 6 stitches. Again, crochet a BPSC row without increasing and decreasing. Start with decreasing, add after 7 stitches, and finish with the decrease. Crochet a BPSC row. Then make the visor binding.
