Crochet Baby Garment Instructions for 0-3 Months

You’ll Need:

• 120g of thin 100% cotton yarn in red color;
• Crochet hook size 2;
• 4 buttons.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make as one-piece cloth. Make a chain of 125 chain stitches and create the 1^st-2^nd rows according to the scheme. Continue work, dividing the stitches in the following way: 10 double crochets, * 1 shell of 9 stitches, 23 double crochets*; repeat from * to * two times, 1 shell and 10 double crochets.

At a height of 17 cm, divide your work in the following way: 28 stitches – right front, bind off 5 stitches for arm-hole, 59 stitches – back, bind off 5 stitches for arm-hole, 28 stitches – left front. Continue making back straight and finish your work at a height of 27 cm. Turn to the right front, after making 5 cm from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off 1 x 4 stitches, 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches, and 1 x 1 stitch in every row for neck-hole. At a height of 27 cm, finish your work.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right.

Sleeves

Make 45 chain stitches and create the 1^st-2^nd rows according to the scheme. Continue work, dividing the stitches in the following way: first and last 18 stitches – double crochets, the central 9 stitches – shells. At the same time, increase 3 x 1 stitch in every 4^th row from both sides. At a height of 18 cm, finish your work.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes, then create the sleeve and side seams. Fasten the neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of the pattern according to the scheme. Fasten the front with the 1^st and 2^nd rows of the pattern according to the scheme. Sew buttons to the left front.
