Step-by-Step Guide to Crocheting a Unique Stitch Pattern with Hdc and Tr

Introduction to the Pattern

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 15 plus 2 stitches.

Row Instructions

1st Row

Starting in the 3rd chain from the hook, half double crochet (hdc) across. Turn.

2nd Row

Chain 4 (counts as the first treble crochet), work 3 treble crochets (tr) in the same stitch, then tr in the next stitch.


*Skip 1 stitch, tr*, repeat between ** 5 times, then work 4 tr in the next stitch.
Followed by [4 tr in the next stitch, tr, *skip 1 stitch, tr*, repeat between ** 5 times, 4 tr in the next stitch], and
repeat the instructions within the brackets to the end of the row. Chain 2, then turn.

3rd Row

Work hdc in each stitch, then turn.

Pattern Repetition

Repeat the 2nd and 3rd rows to achieve the desired pattern.
