3rd and 4th circle rows: without increases;

5th-7th circle rows: bind off 2 single crochets together, fill in the ball with wool or odds of yarn.

Instructions:

Back

Make 107 (119) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. For side chamfers, increase 5 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides of the set-up row and 4 x 1 st in every row = 125 (137) sts. Start making increases with double crochets and then include them in the main pattern. In 16 cm from the set-up row, leave 3 sts open from both sides for arm-holes (= 1 pattern repeat) and do 3 x 2 sts, 5 x 1 st in every row for smooth rounding and 1 x 1 st in the next 2nd row. In 34 (36) cm from the set-up row, finish your work on the rest 95 (107) sts.

Left Front

Make 77 (83) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. For neck-hole chamfer, leave 22 x 2 sts and 10 x 1 st open in every row from the left side. Simultaneously, make increases for side chamfer and decreases for arm-hole from the right side in the same way as for the back. Finish your work on the rest 20 (26) sts of the shoulder at the height of the back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Assembly:

Make all the seams and sew up the sleeves. Fasten all the edges with plackets, making several double crochets in 1 base st. For the collar, connect the inner side of the neck-hole (about 24 cm from both sides from the center of the back) and connect the sides of the vest with 82 slip sts. Fasten with 2 rows of double crochets, doubling every 6th st in the 2nd row = 95 sts. Make 5 rows of the beads pattern and finish your work. For straps, make 2 chains of 75 cm long, fasten with plackets, and sew to the ends of the front. Sew “balls” to every end of the straps. Embroider the front according to the pattern with leaves and beads in 2 threads of yarn.
