Introduction to Knit Stitch Patterns

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 3. Make the 1st to 3rd rows once, then, repeat the 2nd to 3rd rows.

Instructions for Each Row

1st Row

Knits all stitches.

2nd Row

* 1 yarn over, 1 knit stitch*; repeat from * to *.

3rd Row

* Slip 3 purls, throw yarn over and draw long stitches.

Transfer the stitches to the left-hand needle and knit them together as a cross knit stitch, don’t throw the stitches from the needle; 1 yarn over, cross knit stitch. Throw the stitch from the needle*; repeat from * to *.
