You’ll Need:

3 balls of Bernat Softee Baby colors (4.2 oz/120g; 310 yds/284 m) in Blue Rainbow (51006);

Crochet hook 4.5 mm.

Size:

Approx 96.5 cm from point to point.

Stitch Control:

15 dc x 8 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Note: Ch 3 at the beginning of each round counts as dc.

Ch 4.

Round 1:

Ch 6 (counts as 1 dc and ch-3). (1 dc, ch 3) 4 times in the ring. Join with sl st to the 3rd ch of the beginning ch-6.

Round 2:

Sl st in the next ch-3 sp. Ch 3. (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the same sp as the last sl st. (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the next ch-3 sp) 4 times. Join with sl st to the top of ch-3.

Round 3:

Sl st in the next dc. Ch 3. 1 dc in the next dc. *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the next ch-2 sp. 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc. Skip the next 2 dc.** 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc. Repeat from * 3 times more, then from * to ** once. Join with sl st to the top of ch 3.

Round 4:

Sl st in the next dc. Ch 3. 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc. *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the next ch-2 sp. 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc. Skip the next 2 dc.** 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc. Repeat from * 3 times more, then from * to ** once. Join with sl st to the top of ch 3.

Round 5:

Sl st in the next dc. Ch 3. 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc. *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the next ch-2 sp. 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc. Skip the next 2 dc.** 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc. Repeat from * 3 times more, then from * to ** once. Join with sl st to the top of ch 3.

Round 6:

Round 7:

Continue as established, working 2 more dc before and after each (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) corner until the blanket measures approx 38" [96.5 cm] in diameter. Fasten off.
