The quantity of stitches (sts) is a multiple of 6 + 2 selvage stitches.

1st Row: *1 purl, 4 knit stitches, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;

2nd and All Even Rows: Follow the pattern;

3rd Row: Same as the 1st row;

5th Row: *1 purl, cross 4 sts to the right (leave 2 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, knit 2 sts, then knit 2 sts from the auxiliary needle), 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;

7th Row: Same as the 1st row;
