You’ll Need

250 (350)g of light-green mélange yarn (55% cotton, 45% linen; 140m/50g);

Knitting needles 4;

Short circular knitting needles 4.

Size

S (L).

Used Patterns

Rib Pattern

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4 + 2 + 2 selvage stitches. Start and finish every row with 1 selvage stitch;

RS rows: * 2 knit stitches, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, finish with 2 knit stitches;

WS rows: work according to the pattern;

Circle rows (the quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4): 2 knit stitches, 2 purls by turn.

Relief Pattern

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 17 + 2 + 2 selvage stitches, work according to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, making WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage stitch, repeat the pattern, finish with stitches after pattern repeat and 1 selvage stitch. Repeat the 1st-20th rows.

Stitches Control

21 stitches x 28.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Note

Sew both upper plackets upon shoulder seams. As a result, front and back are shortened by 3 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 108 (124) stitches and make 6 cm of rib for the placket. Continue work with the relief pattern, decrease 2 (1) stitches in this 1st row = 106 (123) stitches. For the upper placket at 42 cm = 120 rows (49 cm = 140 rows) from the placket, continue work with rib, increase 2 (1) stitches in this 1st row = 108 (124) stitches. Bind off all the stitches at 6 cm width of the placket.

Front

Make in the same way as the back, but make the upper placket at 35 cm = 100 rows (42 cm = 120 rows) from the placket. Bind off all the stitches at 6 cm width of the placket.

Assembly

For shoulders, sew the outer 10 (13) cm of the bound-off edge of the front upper placket from WS to the beginning of the back upper placket and then sew the outer 10 (13) cm of the bound-off edge of the back upper placket from RS to the front upper placket. Make side seams, leaving 6 cm open at the bottom of the front from both sides and 13 cm of back for cuts, also 16 (20) cm for the armhole.

For plackets, cast on 88 (108) stitches along the edge of each armhole with circular knitting needles and work with pattern 1 using circular rows. Bind off all the stitches according to the pattern at 6 cm width of the placket.
