Instructions for Crocheting Each Row

1st row: single crochet in each st, starting from the 3rd st from your crochet hook.

Row Breakdown

2nd Row

crochet all sts, skip 2 base sts. 3 chain sts of increase, * 2 chain sts, 1 double crochet, {(1 double crochet, 1 chain st) twice, 1 double crochet} - in one st, 1 double crochet, 2 chain sts, 1 double crochet*; repeat from * to end of row, finish with 2 chain sts, 1 double crochet in chain st increase.

3rd Row

3 chain st increase, * 1 chain st, 3 double crochets in each double crochet from the previous row combination, 1 chain st, 1 double crochet in double crochet of the previous row*; repeat from * to end of row, finish with 1 chain st, 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain st.

4th Row

3 chain sts increase, 3 double crochets with common top (crochet all the yarn overs, then draw the yarn through all the sts on the crochet hook), 4 chain sts between them, i.e., {(3 double crochets with common top, 4 chain sts) twice, 3 double crochets with common top}, 1 chain st, 1 double crochet in double crochet of the previous row; repeat from * to end of row, finish with 1 chain st, 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain st.

5th Row

1 chain st, * 5 single crochets in the arch of previous row combination, 1 single crochet in the central "bunch of crochet", 5 single crochets in the 2nd combination arch of the previous row, 1 single crochet in double crochet of the previous row; repeat from * to end of row, finish with 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain st.

6th Row

3 chain sts, * 2 chain sts, 1 double crochet in 3rd single crochet of the previous row, skip 2 single crochets, {(1 double crochet, 1 chain st) twice, 1 double crochet}, 1 double crochet through 2 sts of the previous row, 2 chain sts, 1 double crochet in single crochet, which is under double crochet in the 4th row*; repeat from * to end of row, finish with 2 chain sts, 1 double crochet in chain st.

7th Row

as 3rd row;

8th Row

as 4th row;

9th Row

as 5th row.

Final Steps

Make once from 1st to 9th rows, then repeat from 6th to 9th row.
