Detailed Guide to Crochet Patterns: Chains, Rows, and Ornaments

The quantity of chain stitches is multiplied by 3 plus 2 chain stitches increase.

1st Row Instructions

Make 2 double crochets in the 4th chain stitch of the setup row. Then, skip 2 chain stitches and start making the ornament from the 3rd stitch: *1 single crochet, 2 double crochets*. Skip 2 chain stitches again and continue making the ornament until there are 4 chain stitches left.

Skip 2 chain stitches and make 1 double crochet in the 3rd and 4th stitches each.

2nd Row Instructions

Begin with 2 chain stitches increase, then skip the 1st single crochet (i.e., crochet in the 1st double crochet of the previous row) and make 2 double crochets in the 2nd single crochet. After this, make the ornament: *1 single crochet, 2 double crochets* in the single crochet of the previous row. The ornament should be carried out to the last single crochet of the previous row. Finish the row with 1 double crochet in the 1st double crochet of the previous row and 1 double crochet in the chain stitch increase of the previous row.

Repeat Instructions

Continue to repeat the ornament pattern from the 2nd row.
