Relief Lace Pullover

You’ll need:

350 (450)g of grey-blue Natura yarn (46% merino wool, 28% viscose, 12% cotton, 7% Alpaca, 7% mohair; 100m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5;

Crochet hook 4,5.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Lace pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 11 + 1 chain st increase. Work due to the scheme. Start every row with 1 or 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st single crochet or double crochet and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat.

Repeat 1st-5th rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-5th rows.

Stitches control: stockinette stitch: 14 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Lace pattern: 13 sts x 9,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 64 (77) sts and work with stockinette stitch. In 22 (24) cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts. Fasten the upper edge with lace pattern, skip 1 st of set-up row in every pattern repeat (repeat the pattern x 4 or 5 times). Finish your work at 30 (32) cm height of the lace pattern.

Front

Start in the same way, as back, but in 33 (35) cm from the set-up row, bind off 5 sts from both sides and 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row. At the same time with the first decrease, divide your work in half for the V-shape neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For neck-hole chamfer, decrease 14 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards, i.e., knit the 3rd and 2nd sts from the end of row together as knit st or knit the 2nd and 3rd sts in the beginning of row as broaching (= slip1 st as knit st, 1 knit st, draw it through the slipped st). In 52 (56) cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 10 (16) sts from each side.

Left Lace Half of Front

Make 83 (96) chain sts + 1 chain st increase with the help of crochet hook and work with lace pattern. In 6 cm = 4 rows from the set-up row, leave 41 (45,5) cm from the left side for string. Then, leave 7 x 1 cm in every 2nd row from the left side for neck-hole chamfer. Finish your work in 30 (32) cm from the set-up row.

Right Lace Half of Front

In symmetry to the left half.

Sleeves

Make 35 chain sts + 1 chain st increase and work with lace pattern. At the same time, increase 13 (17) x 0,5 cm in every 2nd row from both sides for sleeve chamfers, include the increased sts in the pattern. Finish your work in 54 cm from the set-up row.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams of lace halves, catching 7 (11,5) cm of front shoulders from both sides. Sew up the sleeves, make side seams. Fasten the edges of lace halves of front and back neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets. Fasten the lower edge of pullover with 1 circle row of single crochets and 1 circle row of “shells” (* 1 single crochet, skip 2 sts, 7 double crochets in the next st, skip 2 knit sts*; repeat from * to *).
