You’ll Need:
600 (650) 700g of grey 100% polyacryl yarn (90m/50g);
Straight knitting needles 4.5 and 5;

Used Patterns
Garter Stitch:
1 circle row of purls, 1 circle row of knit stitches by turn;
Stockinette Stitch:
In RS rows – knit stitches, in WS rows – purls;
Relief Cable Pattern:
95 (103) 111 stitches wide: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the ornament, yarn overs – as purls. Start with 1 selvedge stitch, stitches before pattern repeat A, pattern repeat A x 7 (8) 9 times, repeat the stitches between pattern A and pattern B (middle) x once, pattern repeat B x 7 (8) 9 times, finish with stitches after pattern repeat B and 1 selvedge stitch. Repeat 1st-20th rows on the central 21 stitches x 3 times = 60 rows and 61st-62nd rows x once; make 1st-20th rows x once on the rest of stitches for pattern chamfer, then, 13th-20th rows x 5 times and 61st-62nd rows x once.
Central Pattern:
31 stitches wide: work according to the scheme from the red line. Repeat 63rd-82nd rows.
Stitches Control:
Relief cable: 21 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Stockinette stitch: 17.5 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Central pattern: 31 stitches = 14 cm wide.
Instructions
Front/Back:
Cast on 95 (103) 111 stitches with knitting needles 4.5 and make 1 WS row with knit stitches. Don’t take this row into account. Then, turn to knitting needles 5 and work with relief cable. In 24 cm = 62 rows from the set-up row continue work in the following way: 1 selvedge stitch, 31 (35) 39 stitches of stockinette stitch, 31 stitches of central pattern, 31 (35) 39 stitches of stockinette stitch, 1 selvedge stitch. In 40 cm = 104 rows (38.5 cm = 100 rows) 37 cm = 96 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 stitches from both sides for armholes and 1 x 2 stitches, 5 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row = 75 (83) 91 stitches. In 60 cm = 156 rows from the set-up row, bind off 7 (9) 11 stitches from both sides for shoulder chamfers and 1 x 7 (9) 11 stitches in every 2nd row. In 61.5 cm = 160 rows from the set-up row, leave the rest 47 stitches.
Sleeves:
Cast on 51 (51) 57 stitches with knitting needles 4.5 and make 1 WS row with knit stitches. Then, turn to knitting needles 5 and work in the following way: 1 selvedge stitch, 9 (9) 12 stitches of stockinette stitch, 31 stitches of central pattern, 9 (9) 12 stitches of stockinette stitch, 1 selvedge stitch. For central pattern, repeat 81st-82nd rows x once, then, 63rd-82nd rows. At the same time, increase 5 x 1 stitch in every 12th row from the set-up row for sleeve chamfers, 5 x 1 stitch in every 10th row (4 x 1 stitch in every 10th row and 9 x 1 stitch in every 8th row) = 71 (77) 83 stitches. In 46 cm = 120 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 (4) 4 stitches for sleeve cap from both sides and 2 x 2 stitches, 12 x 1 stitch, 2 x 2 stitches, 1 x 3 (4) 5 stitches in every 2nd row. In 60 cm = 156 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 19 (21) 25 stitches.
Assembly:
Make shoulder seams, transfer the previously left 47 stitches of back and front to the circle knitting needles and continue making the pattern on the front and back, make yarn overs as knit stitches in even rows of the central pattern. At the same time, knit selvedge stitch and neighboring stitch together = 90 stitches. At 5.5 cm height of collar = 14 circle rows, make 3 circle rows of garter stitch more and then, bind off all the stitches loosely.
Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
