How to Crochet a Stylish Hat

You’ll Need:

2 (2) skeins of white 100% wool yarn;

1 (1) skein of the same yarn, but in sandy color;

1 (1) skein of the same yarn, but in black color;

Crochet hooks 5 and 6.

Size:

S/M (M/L).

Note:

Crochet in spiral, don’t make chain sts increase when turning to the next row and don’t circle the rows.

Instructions

Crochet from up to down. Make a small double magic ring and work in a spiral:

Row Instructions:

1^st Row: 2 chain sts, 7 half crochets (8 sts);

2^nd Row: 2 half crochets in every st (16 sts);

3^rd Row: * 1 half crochet and 2 half crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * (24 sts);

4^th Row: * 2 half crochets and 2 half crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * (32 sts);

5^th Row: * 3 half crochets and 2 half crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * (40 sts);

6^th Row: * 4 half crochets and 2 half crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * (48 sts);

7^th Row: * 5 half crochets and 2 half crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * (56 sts);

8^th Row: * 6 half crochets and 2 half crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * (64 sts);

9^th Row: * 15 (7) half crochets and 2 half crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * (68 (72) sts);

Make 1 half crochet in every st in the next 22 (24) rows. Cut the yarn. Weave in the ends.

Cable

Make 3 laces of white, beige, and black colors with crochet hook 6: 76 (80) chain sts, start with the 5^th st from the crochet hook, 1 treble crochet in every st. Make a flat cable of laces (the length of cable should be the same as the head circumference). Sew the ends of laces and cables to the hat.
