You’ll need:

250 (300)g of 100% cotton yarn Amina of mint grey color (105m/50g);

Knitting needles 4;

Crochet hook 3.5.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Rib: The quantity of stitches is multiple of 4 + 2 selvedge stitches. 1 selvedge stitch, *1 knit stitch, 2 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvedge stitch.

Make WS rows according to the ornament.

Garter stitch: All knit stitches;

Stockinette stitch: In the RS row – knit stitches, in WS row – purl stitches;

Relief stripe of 28 stitches: Work according to the scheme, where only RS rows are stated, make WS rows according to the ornament, yarn overs – as purls. Repeat 1st-10th rows.

Special decreases: From the right side: 1 selvedge stitch, 2 knit stitches, broaching (= slip 1 knit stitch, 1 knit stitch, draw it through the slipped stitch). From the left side: Knit the 5th and 4th stitches from the end together, 2 knit stitches, 1 selvedge stitch.

Stitches control: 19 stitches x 27.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 86 (94) stitches and make 2 cm with rib for the placket and 0.5 cm = 2 rows with garter stitch. Then, work with stockinette stitch. At the same time, bind off 7 x 1 stitch in every 4th row from both sides = 72 (80) stitches. In 14 cm = 38 rows from the placket, increase 1 stitch from both sides and 6 x 1 stitch of stockinette stitch in every 8th row = 86 (94) stitches. In 37 cm = 102 rows from the placket, bind off 5 stitches from both sides for armholes, 2 x 2 stitches in every 2nd row and 3 x 1st with special decreases, then 2 x 1 stitch in every 4th row = 58 (66) stitches. In 54.5 cm = 150 rows from the placket, bind off the central 10 (14) stitches for the neck-hole and finish both parts separately. For smooth rounding, decrease 4 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches, and 1 x 1 stitch with special decreases from inwards. Make 2 or 3 broachings while decreasing 2 or 3 stitches or knit2tog (knit3tog). In 59.5 cm = 164 rows from the placket, bind off the rest 9 (11) stitches of shoulder from both sides.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but after the placket, work according to the following description: 1 selvedge stitch, 28 (32) stitches of stockinette stitch, 28 stitches of relief stripe, 28 (32) stitches of stockinette stitch, 1 selvedge stitch. In 36.5 cm = 100 rows from the placket, make 28 stitches of relief stripe and 2 rows of garter stitch on the central stitches. In 37 cm = 102 rows from the placket, bind off the central 28 stitches for the neck-hole and decrease 3 (5) x 1 stitch in every 4th row, 2 x 1 stitch in every 6th row, and 1 x 1 stitch in every 8th row with special decreases.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams. Fasten the neck-hole and armholes with 1 circle row of “shrimp stitch.”
