You’ll need:

600-700g of Merino Air yarn (130m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Rib: 2 selvedge sts + the quantity of sts multiple 4. RS rows – 1 purl +2 knit sts + 1 purl. WS rows – due to the ornament. Only RS rows are stated on the scheme, make WS rows due to the ornament. Repeat the pattern between selvedge sts.

Pattern with cables (A): the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme 1.

Repeat 1st-4th rows, finish with 5th-6th rows.

Pattern with cables (B): the quantity of sts is multiple of 8 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme 2. Make 1st-14th rows once, then, repeat 5th-14th rows.

Honeycombs: the quantity of sts is multiple of 4 + 2 selvegde sts, work due to the scheme 3, repeat 1st-4th rows.

Pattern A – work due to the following patterns order: 28 rows of rib, 34 rows of pattern A, 74 rows of pattern B, 30 (34) 38 rows of honeycomb pattern. Totally, 166 (170) 174 rows.

Pattern B – work due to the following patterns order: 68 rows of rib, 42 rows of pattern A, 22 rows of honeycomb pattern. Totally, 132 rows.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 114 (122) 130 sts and work with pattern A. After 40,5 cm from the beginning of work (about 110 rows), bind off 8 sts from each side for arm-holes. In 59 (60,5) 62 cm from the edge of work, bind off 7 (8) 9 sts from both sides in every 2nd row for chamfers. After 61,5 (63) 64,5 cm from the edge, bind off the sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for the neck-hole, bind off the central 12 sts in 55,5 (57) 58,5 cm from the beginning of work and finish both parts separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4, 5 x 2 and 1 x 1 sts in every 2nd row. Bind off the sts due to the description of back.

Sleeves

Cast on 58 (62) 66 sts and work with pattern B. Increase 1 st x 13 in every 8th row, 1 st x 3 in every 6th row and 1 st x 1 in the following 8th row, 1 st x 1 in the following 6th row. After 49 cm (= 32 rows) from edge of work, bind off all the sts.

Hood

Start with the left half. Cast on 18 sts and work with pattern with cables (A). Cast on 4 x 6 and 4 x 7 sts extra in every 2nd row for side chamfers and include these sts in the pattern. After 21,5 cm from the edge of work, binf off 1 st inwards from the right side, for rounding, 4 x 1, 4 x 2, 1 x 3 and 1 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. After 29,5 cm, leave all the sts. Make the right half in symmetry to the left one and connect with the previously left sts with Kitchener stitch.

Assembly

Sew shoulders. Sew the hood to the neck-hole line. Sew sleeves, sides. Make sleeve seams.
