The Simplest Crochet Stitch Pattern

This is the simplest crochet stitch pattern. It consists of ordinary single crochets.

Make the needed quantity of chain stitches and make the 1^st single crochet in the 2^nd chain stitch from the crochet hook (= 1 chain stitch increase).

Instructions

1st Row

1^st row: 1 chain stitch increase, * 1 single crochet through one lobe of stitch *; repeat from * to *;

2nd Row

2^nd row: 1 chain stitch increase, * 1 single crochet through both lobes of stitch *; repeat from * to *.

Repeat Pattern

Repeat the 2^nd row all the time.
