How to Create a Beautiful Handcrafted Scarf with Yarn and Crochet Hooks

You'll Need:

4-5 balls of yarn (30% wool, 70% polyacryl; 100g/100m);

Crochet hook 8 and 9 mm.

Length: 220 cm

Width: 20 cm

Instructions

Make a chain of 216 chain sts with crochet hook 9 mm.

The whole work is made with single crochets, made in a special way, except for the 1st row.

1st Row:

Then, crochet all the rows behind the back arch of single crochet from the previous row. In the beginning of each row, always make 1 chain st increase, but don't crochet it.

Pay attention to the first and last sts of the row.

Also, note that it's more convenient to insert the crochet hook by turning it a little bit.

In this sample, there are 11 stripes with braids from both sides of the scarf. To achieve the same look for both ends of your scarf, finish it with a wrong side row.

You should have ripples on the ends of your scarf.
